Lesson 1: 
Choking

Understand how to recognise the signs of mild and severe airway obstruction. Learn effective first aid techniques such as back blows and abdominal thrusts for different age groups, and know when to escalate to emergency services or CPR.

Lesson 2:
Drowning

Understand how drowning affects the airway and breathing. Learn how to safely approach and rescue a casualty, assess responsiveness, and provide rescue breaths and CPR to restore normal breathing.

Lesson 3: Allergy/
Anaphylaxis

Understand how severe allergic reactions can rapidly close the airway. Learn to identify symptoms early, assist with the use of an adrenaline auto-injector (e.g., EpiPen), and monitor the casualty while preparing for emergency evacuation.

Lesson 4: 
Spinal Injuries

Understand how spinal injuries can threaten the airway without obvious symptoms. Learn to assess for potential spine damage, open the airway using the jaw-thrust technique, and immobilise the head and neck to prevent further harm during treatment.
